VISIT FLORIDA, the state's official source for travel planning, is
hosting the third annual Downtowns & Small Towns Forum. The Forum is
an extension of the successful Downtowns & Small Towns program that
focuses on the revitalized and vibrant downtowns and small towns
throughout the state. Florida's downtowns and small towns
provide the authenticity and uniqueness that cultural heritage travelers
want. They are the portal to Florida's rich cultural, heritage,
multi-cultural, natural and architectural assets. They are "where the
locals go."
This 3-day educational forum involves town tours and sessions on
how to effectively develop and promote your downtown or small town,
through the use of Florida models and success stories.
The town tours will highlight downtown and small town tourism
development and marketing applications.
If you are affiliated with any of the following organizations, this
3-day Forum is perfect for you: arts & cultural organizations,
historic preservation groups, Convention and Visitors Bureaus, Chambers
of Commerce, Downtown Development Associations, Community Redevelopment
Associations, merchant associations, elected officials, tourism
professionals, land-use managers and city planners.
