Bill Lupfer

Title: President & CEO

Organization: Florida Attractions Association

Committee Position: Member

Bill Lupfer began his career in the attractions industry in June 1975 as a custodial host at Walt Disney World. Over the next decade, he advanced through diverse leadership roles, including park operations, project management for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, instructor at Disney University, and key roles in launching Epcot Center’s Guest Relations Department and overseeing transportation systems across the resort.

Building on his Disney foundation, Bill went on to open and operate attractions across the U.S. (Florida, North Carolina, New Jersey, California, Virginia) and internationally in Canada, Belgium, Japan, and Turkey. His consulting work extended even further, impacting projects in England, France, Mexico, South Korea, and Germany.

In 2007, Bill transitioned from attraction operations to become President and CEO of the Florida Attractions Association (FAA). Under his leadership, the FAA has evolved into Florida’s premier advocacy organization for the attractions industry.

A fourth-generation Floridian, Bill lives in Winter Garden with his wife Anita—whom he met on Main Street, U.S.A.—and their Irish Doodle, Riley. Their three children have all worked in the attractions industry. Outside of work, Bill enjoys running, mountain hikes, and relaxing on Florida’s beautiful beaches.
