With over 30 years of experience in the tourism marketing field, DT Minich has established a solid name for himself in this industry. In August 2014, he became the first President and CEO of Experience Kissimmee, and has thrived in establishing Kissimmee as the preferred travel destination for leisure travelers, meeting planners, sporting event organizers, and group travel planners. With an annual operating budget of $32M, Experience Kissimmee helps inspire visitation for more than 9 million overnight guests annually.

DT leads a team of over 60 staff members, well as in-country representation firms in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Germany, India, Northern Europe, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. In 2017, DT and Experience Kissimmee were recognized by U.S. Travel Association with the Grassroots Travel Champion Award. Additionally, DT was named as CEO of the Year in 2017 by the Orlando Business Journal.

Prior to joining Experience Kissimmee, DT was an Executive Director with Visit St. Pete/Clearwater CVB for seven years, during which time he spearheaded rebranding initiatives and held accountability for a total budget of $35.1M, 42 full-time employees, and 5 satellite offices. He notably drove efforts to boost meetings and convention business by 28% and sports business by 40%.

DT, an alum of the University of Kentucky, is a U.S. Travel Association Chairman Circle Board Member and sits on the IPW Planning Committee. He also serves on the board for Visit Florida, the Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association, P1 Power Boat Board of Directors and holds active designation as a Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME).

During his free time, DT stays true to his laid-back personality by relaxing with his dog and a good book or magazine. His other passion is travel, and he has visited 47 countries around the world.
